Which plan is right for me?
Our Cohetes plan is great for families who are looking for fun, hands-on curricula to add depth to their Spanish.
Our Estrellas plan is our most popular and will be the ideal choice for most families. This plan offers comprehensive and convenient language exposure and support. The Estrellas plan includes everything in the Cohetes plan, plus weekly 1-1 tutoring with native speakers!
Our Galaxias plan is a great fit for families who want maximum exposure and language immersion and who have the time and flexibility in their schedules for the group classes.
Our Satélites plan is great for families looking for a digital-only introduction to thematic Spanish + STEAM learning! This plan offers a 100% app-based library of rich content including songs, videos, STEAM activities and their related STEAM concepts.

What makes Lelu unique?
Lelu is so much more than your standard Spanish curricula/class—it’s a full Spanish program. Our activity box immerses you in a fun STEAM theme in Spanish for the entire month. In the box, you’ll receive all you need to do 4 core Spanish + STEAM activities related to that theme and a calendar with daily activities that extend the learning from the 4 core activities. Each core activity is accompanied with instruction videos!
If enrolled in our Estrellas or Galaxias programs, in addition to all of the above, every week your kids will have a Zoom class with their tutor 1-1. This special time provides your kids individualized attention and support. For families in our Galaxias program, every week also includes a community class where kids share with each other all they’ve done and learned that week!
Regardless of your plan type, Lelu is an amazing program with many touch points that make Spanish so fun for your family!
What group class and tutoring times are available?
For 1-1 tutoring, have a wide range of weekday availability (including afternoons, mornings, etc.). For the group classes, we poll families to arrive at the most convenient time and will group families accordingly to stated availability and preferences.
When do I schedule my child's 1-1s?
You will be able to select your slot when you enroll. You will have access to a calendar with different availabilities from which you will be able to choose the most convenient slot for your family. If you need more scheduling assistance, kindly email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What ages is this for?
We're a program for families, so we like to say that we serve kids 3-99. Everyone will be learning a bunch!
What's the time commitment?
Our Spanish + STEAM program is made up of 3 components that students will interact with weekly each month:
All Plans: Spanish + STEAM activity kit (with at least 75 mins worth of activities for each week, with many activities accompanied with online video instructions at the appropriate Spanish level).
Estrellas and Galaxias plans: 1-1 Spanish tutoring for 30 mins each week via Zoom.
Galaxias Plans: 30 min weekly community meeting in Spanish with peers via Zoom.
That adds up to at least 135 minutes of Spanish per week or 9 hours of Spanish per month for our Galaxias plans! Our programs are set up intentionally as research shows us that to acquire a language you need to:
1) find a use for it in your life (starts with the kits),
2) use it with someone (the tutor and with peers)
3) you need to enjoy it (all of the above)!
Bilingualism is a gift for life, and we are passionate about helping you kids start or enrich their bilingualism journey in the best ways!
Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are awesome, fun, passionate educators who love Spanish! With years of teaching experience, they provide personalized attention to your child during each tutoring session. The tutor will follow your child's lead to extend the learnings from the box and ask your child to tell them what they did and how they liked it, etc. to keep them using their Spanish!
Do my kids each need a box or can my kids share a box and do tutoring together?
You know this answer better than we do! Our boxes are certainly designed to drive family engagement with the language so, with parent help, most of the activities will have various access points for kids at different levels or ages. That said, if there is a big age difference between your children, or if they tend to prefer doing things independently, we recommend signing them up separately.
Does the enrichment program have a theme?
Yes! Each month will be organized around a fun and engaging Spanish + STEAM theme based on your child's age and language level. Examples of themes include:

How do the community classes work?
Each week we'll have a community-wide meeting to sing, play, share the projects we've been working on and engage with each other! Along with the box and tutoring, this community session is critical for your child to see the big-picture about how languages connect us! We’ll ask students to share their work (what did you build this week?) during the community meeting so the meeting is a perfect recurring motivation for kiddos to practice their Spanish skills every week!
My kid is fluent in Spanish. Is this for him/her?
Absolutely! There is always more to learn when it comes to languages, so we adjust our programming for kids at all levels. No matter their starting point, we're confident your child will learn A LOT with Lelu!
Can a school pod share the box and tutoring?
No. We only allow immediate family members to share a registration. If you are in a pod, each family in the pod must register independently.
When does my subscription renew?
The 15th of every month is the bill and cut-off date for enrollment. For example, if you sign up for a monthly program, on 2/08/21, you will be billed on 2/15/21 and receive your first box in March. If you sign up for a monthly program on 2/18/21, you will be billed on 3/15/21 and receive your first box in April. Quarterly and Annual programs also bill on the 15th of the month, but in their respective frequencies.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your Monthly subscription at any time from your Shopify account or by emailing email@example.com. For Quarterly and Annual subscribers, you may cancel forward at anytime by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to avoid any further charges, but the amount paid upfront for your current period cannot be refunded.
How can I download the app?
Access: Click the link: app.lelu-usa.com on the device where you would like to install the app. If you are on iOS, make sure to open the link via Safari! If your phone automatically opens another browser, you might have to open Safari and manually type app.lelu-usa.com
Download: Click the share button on iOS (bottom center) or the three-dot menu button (top right) on Android. Then, select the "Add to Home Screen" option. (This will add the app to your device's home screen for easier access in the future. You only have to do this once!)
Login: Enter your email (this must be the same email you used to sign up for Lelu), then the pin you receive and enjoy access to all our digital resources at your fingertips!
Help! I can't add the app to my home screen!
If you can't see the Add to Home Screen button to download the app to your homescreen, check the browser that you are using. Sometimes, clicking on the link automatically opens the app in the wrong browser, depending on your phone settings.
If you are using iOS (iPad or iPhone) try Safari.
• Open Safari.
• Type app.lelu-usa.com on the search bar at the top.
• You should now be able to see the Add to Home Screen option when you click on the share button (bottom center).
If you are using Android try Chrome.
• Open Chrome.

Where did last month's content go? (App)
The app automatically updates itself with new content every month! If you want to access content from the past months you can go to My archives on your app's menu and click on the app you would like to access. Note: you will only see the content of the months you have been with us.
